THERE ONCE WAS...A LIMERICK
Inspired by the wit evident in her Asheville Dream Series, Lisa Ringelspaugh's friend, Amos, of Austin, Texas has graciously endowed each with a charming limerick. Here's a sample, pertaining to Lisa's take on Kim's Wig Shop:
OFF WITH HER HEAD!
For both the low-brow and the high and the mighty,
Like Queen Nefertiti, Freida Kahlo & Aphrodite...
The one place to stop,
Kim's magical Wig Shop!
For perukes, by Jukes, they'll delight ye!!
It's all in fun, folks. Lisa's an artist with loads of talent, and a lot to say, but mainly she wants to make you smile.

WOMEN ON WINE (WOW)
Women on Wine (WOW) gathered at BlackBird on Saturday, May 22 for an evening of sharing fine wine and friendship amidst Karen Weihs' beautiful new paintings. WOW is a pay-as-you-attend group open to women of all ages who simply enjoy good company and want to learn more about wines. Chris Poulos of Castle Rock Winery (CA) presented several of the vineyard's fine affordable wines.
Door proceeds went to Arts for Life, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and young adults facing serious illnesses. Through art education, Arts for Life enriches patients’ lives and encourage positive healthcare experiences for more than 4,500 patients annually.
